Killarney is the gateway to the North Channel, where the crystal clear water is the color of aquamarines, and the white Quartz hills are covered with dark green evergreens. Beautiful!
We did laundry in the morning and met a man whose son lives about 5 miles from us in Maryland.
We had a short motor, less than two hours, to Covered Portage Cove. The cove looked pretty full of boats who were already anchored, so we picked a spot that we thought was perfect. Wrong! A man buzzed over in his zodiac dinghy. We had to move. We were blocking the channel. We moved. Agh!
Met a nice Irishman and took him some pie on his sailboat Sand Dollar. We also rowed some cookies over to a small sailboat with a couple and their two young daughters on board.
Night at anchor, Covered Portage Cove.
