Westward

The day was not unlike a day on an interstate highway. We were headed west for Drummond Island, there was nothing to see but the grey sky and the grey waves. No land in sight most of the day as we crossed the North Channel. We just kept going and going all day. No other boats in sight.
We realized that we would not be able to get to the U S Customs before they closed at 6pm, so we stayed in Canada. Night anchored in Mosquito Bay. Namesake residents off on vacation, sucking tourists’ blood somewhere else.
