Sunday was one of those days where we had no idea at the beginning of the day as to how far we would get by the end of the day. It was a socked in foggy day as we picked our way to Drummond Island, using radar and our chartplotter. Before we knew it, we were finished with Customs, refueling, emptying the trash, etc….
The day had become beautiful! We plugged in Mackinac Island into our Garmin, and before we knew it, we were there.
I loved staying at the state park marina at Mackinac Island! We were right there, steps away from more fudge shops than you could ever imagine. We were just below the old fort, where they played taps at 10pm, and revelry in the morning. After dinner we walked around the town, sampling fudge, and enjoying ice cream cones. FUN!
