Just as Jim’s family has been going in the summer to Sorrento, Maine since the 1880’s, another group of relatives had gone to Harbor Point, Michigan. Jim and I had visited one of the “cottages” 36 years ago, and we hoped to see the tiny summer community and any cousins who might be about on our trip.
We were in luck. We had a lovely dinner in the same cottage we had visited so many years before. We met the granddaughter of the couple we knew back then, and her family and cousin. After a swim in Lake Michigan, we had a wonderful dinner on the porch while their washer and drier worked wonders on our laundry. Fun!
