We check several weather sources every morning before heading out. We knew the weather was going to deteriorate on Thursday evening and thru Saturday. There was a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Thursday during the day. We kept an eye on our Sirius weather chart on our Garmin chartplotter, and lucked out with the weather.
We left the Fort Washington light behind us and headed south. Managed to miss a storm that passed to the west ahead of us. Pulled into Racine, Wisconsin reefpoint marina at 5pm. 36 miles under our belt for the day. Ominous sky as we settled into our slip!
