Jorge (Jim’s medical school classmates) and his friend Ken joined us for brunch at the Columbia Yacht Club, and then we all went for a sail. Gorgeous day! Perfect last day for Heron with her mast up.
After Jorge and Ken left, we took the sails off the boat, folded them, and put them in the v-berth locker. We won’t be sailing again until we reach Mobile, Alabama.
To celebrate our last night in the beautiful city of Chicago, Jim and I had dinner at the Columbia Yacht Club. It is such an unique club “house”, and the location could not be better.
In the middle of the night the wind shifted to from the South East. We were banging into the dock, so we started the engine and moved to the lee side of the dock. better spot for a Heron photo shoot with the Chicago skyline in the background,
