Ol’ Man River

We set off from Quincy, and headed back down the Mississippi. We have always tied up to the lock walls, but we were encouraged to just float in the center of the lock chamber as the water was lowered. I have become very good at hovering, and floating thru the locks turned out to be easy.
Jim sang Ol’ Man River as we motored south at 7.5 knots. Compared with our 5 knot max going north, we seemed to be flying along.
Night at Two Rivers Marina where Jim’s former nurse Brad and his friend Cherie joined us for dinner.
