They say that the worst thing you can have on a boat is a schedule! One of our greatest joys is discovering the unexpected along the way. And it so it was that on a Sunday morning at about 9am, we found ourselves driving though Metropolis, Illinois. And everyone knows that that is the home of Superman! We hopped out of our rental car, and asked another fan to take our photo. Fun!
We spent the rest of the morning scoping out the two locks we will encounter on the Ohio River. By late afternoon we had arrived in Nashville. We drove around and around the city, looking for a hotel. Mmmmm….. Football game, the usual country western groupies, etc… we finally settled in to a hotel suite near the airport.
