We loved Nashville! We also love Trip Advisor. It lets us figure out what we really want to see and where we should go to eat. We had our hotel room for two nights, so we did not need to check out. Instead, we drove to Andrew Jackson’s home, the Hermitage, on the outskirts. Of Nashville. Beautiful home. We took the horse drawn carriage ride around the grounds also. For “lunch”, we followed the directions online. We were sure we were in the wrong place. Our destination looked like an old, old factory. Could there really be a tendy soda parlor inside? Yes! It was wonderful. I had an orange soda with vanilla ice cream. Lunch!
Next we drove downtown to see the Johnny Cash museum. Fun! Next door was a wonderful store that sold cowboy boots and hats. We walked in the door and smelled delicious leather! We also saw a unique bar rolling through the streets. A dozen young women were pedaling, singing, and drinking, obviously having a wonderful time, as they wound their way through downtown Nashville.
For dinner, we ventured to East Nashville to the Pharmacy, a great beer garden. The wait staff wore t shirts that advertised that it was the “wurst – burger joint”.
Fun day! Thank you trip advisor!
