We checked out of our hotel early, and drove to the Nashville airport. My mother had been with us for almost a month, and she was flying home to Maryland. I helped her check her bag at curb side, and we asked for a wheel chair. Distances are too far for her in many airports. They found a wheelchair for her, but no one to push it. I was elected. I have not been through security without a ticket since 911!
Jim and I drove to Chattanooga. What a great town! We had lunch at a sidewalk cafe/ brewery, then explored the Chattanooga aquarium. We bought tickets for the aquarium’s high speed river explorer. I mentioned that we were doing the loop to the captain. Bingo! We were invited to come up to the bridge when we reached the Chattanooga gorge. Jim and I both had a turn at the helm. Very cool!
We had dinner on the 2nd floor balcony of a wonderful restaurant, 212 market. Night in a Pullman car at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Fun!
You are seeing such wonderful sights and places I’ll bet you never imagined!
