We left Pickwick marina at 6:20am in the fog. We could see the shoreline, and we had the waterway to ourselves for the 9 mile trip to Aqua Marine, at the head of the Tenn Tom Waterway. Once we were settled in at Aqua, we drove to Corinth, MS to pick up a rental car from Enterprise. I spent the afternoon taking Barbara and Jorge from their boat at Pickwick marina to see a doctor in Corinth.
We picked up Vicki and Wayne at 6:30 at their marina at Grand Harbor, and went out to dinner at Freddie T’s. Celebrity photo op! Just as we were about to leave, Wayne told us that there was a sailboat at Pickwick marina (where we had all been the night before) that looked just like our boat! Impossible! There were only 30 Pearson Pilothouses made. But, we had to see for ourselves. We drove back to Pickwick, roused Barbara, and walked down the sailboat dock. Sure enough, there was a Pearson Polothouse! The next morning I called the owner who promptly told me how to unlock the boat and go aboard. So we did!
The uncle of the present owner had ordered the pilothouse from Pearson. I believe it is currently for sale.
I looked at my photos from our first day at Pickwick, and there was the beige stripe on the other pilothouse on the far right side of my photo. I had seen the boat, but I had not recognized it.
