We were very happy to learn that Sinker (his nickname, not his reputation) would be joining us on our first big trip south since Heron’s refit. Sinker knows our boat as he is part of her refit crew. He’s also a very experienced sailor, the former captain of both the Lady Maryland and the Pride of Baltimore. We had a great three day trip, managing to dodge the bad weather that was swirling around us. Heron performed well, and we had ice cream every day. Have to test the freezer, right?
