Sunday May 1, 2016
It was another beautiful day, with light winds from the East. We motored under the Route 1 bridge that connect Key Largo with the mainland. Our route wound through channels in the mangrove, followed by long stretches across open shallow bays. We had the Genoa out and the motor going for most of the day.
Around 3:30pm we pulled into Boca Chita Key, and tied up to the concrete wall.
Cute little island with a beautiful lighthouse and a passable beach for swimming. Fish (grouper) tacos (actually flat bread as we were out of tacos). Yum! No see ums feasted on us in the middle of the night.
Night tied to the wall at Boca Chita Key.
