We cast off our mooring ball just after sunrise, and headed north from St Augustine. Miles and miles of man made channels, lined with homes and docks. Another beautiful day, as we passed by Jacksonville, and arrived at Fernandino Marina in the late afternoon. We tied up to a mooring ball, and rowed to shore for dinner at a seafood restaurant. Amelia Island has two enormous pulp or paper plants on either side of the town. When the wind is blowing from the direction of either plant, you wish you were somewhere else. Other than the smell, Amelia Island was a nice spot!
