Day 11, November 13, 2022

Our second day at sea on our way to Kuala Lumpur, cruising along the Straights of Malacca. We are seeing lots of tankers and cargo ships in this area, an important shipping route. I had fun teaching two women (same as yesterday) how to play hand and foot canasta. We went swimming, enjoyed really nice meals, walked around, and enjoyed a calm day at sea.

When the women were stitching the Bayeux tapestry one thousand years ago, the tapestry was created to be 19.5 inches high by 231 feet long, long enough to wrap around the interior of the Bayeux cathedral. It tells the story of the Battle of Hastings. We saw the tapestry last spring in France.. Viking ocean cruise ships have various scenes blown up to fit the staircases on the ships. At the magnifications, we see every stitch, and every stitch looks perfect! Amazing.
