There was enough wind from the south to set the Genoa and sail for at least part of the day. The river was straight with low rolling hills. Lots of woods, with occasional interesting homes along the way.
We pulled into Hop O Nose Marina in Catskill, New York. Sean has the reputation for doing an excellent job de stepping masts and preparing them to be carried horizontally on the boat. You can’t have your mast up for the Erie Canal!
We spent the afternoon taking off the sails and the solar panels, and preparing stays. Hot! The good news is that Sean also owns and is the chef for the creek side restaurant. We had a table with a view of our boat!
